Workshop

03 / CRYSTAL, CUTTING, ASSEMBLY

Facets are cut on a 1974 machine. It is slower than a new one — and it leaves the edge free of micro-ripple.

The crystal is melted with 24 % lead oxide: heavier than glass, softer under the wheel, and it spreads white light into a noticeably wider spectrum. Each blank is roughed out on a coarse wheel, then seated on a lead disc with diamond paste and finished by hand. Polishing is felt and cerium oxide — thirty minutes per pendant.

The frame is bent from brass tube, soldered with silver alloy and patinated to the chosen metal. The chandelier is assembled whole in the workshop, lit, and watched for a full day — only then is it taken apart for transport.

05 / Showroom

Come over
and switch it on.

Four chandeliers hang in the showroom, and they burn every evening. We don't show a catalogue — we show light. No appointment needed — though with one you get a maker, not a manager.
